Job Purpose:
To ensure the highest standards of product and process quality by developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective Quality Management System (QMS). The role is responsible for driving compliance, conducting inspections and audits, managing supplier quality, and promoting continuous improvement initiatives across all functions to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with internal policies and external standards.
  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products for compliance with quality specifications.
  • Perform regular internal audits and inspections to ensure adherence to procedures, standards, and regulations.
  • Identify non-conformities, investigate root causes, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor quality metrics (defect rates, rejects, yields, etc.), analyze trends, and provide reports to management.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, R&D, and other departments to integrate quality requirements in all processes.
  • Manage supplier quality: evaluate vendor performance, ensure materials/components meet required specifications.
  • Ensure documentation is up to date – quality manuals, SOPs, work instructions, records, test reports.
  • Train staff on quality procedures, best practices, and awareness of quality standards.
  • Support external audits / customer audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce defects, and lower cost of quality.

Skills & Qualification:

  • Graduate in any stream.
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to interpret data/trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, to coordinate with various teams.
  • Problem solving skills; ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and regulations relevant to the industry.
  • Familiarity with quality tools/methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, etc.).
  • Computer skills: MS Office (especially Excel), data reporting tools, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Quality, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience (5-7 years or more) in quality assurance/control in a similar industry.
  • Exposure to audits, regulatory requirements, supplier evaluation.
  • Certifications in quality systems or practices (optional but preferred).
